Event Hours 11am – 4pm
Chili Tasting from 1pm – 3pm
Come out and enjoy some St Patty’s Day celebrations! This event is in conjunction with the annual Shamrockin’ on the Square festival. DJ with kraoke music, a Rock-Paper-Scissors championship, and whatever else we can think of
to pack this day with fun. And don’t forget there will be chili to sample from seasoned and new chili cooks!

COOK DETAILS
• 12x12 space provided
• Cooks must bring their own canopy/tent, table & chairs and supplies
• No electricity available
• Water access if you bring hose with connector
• NO VEHICLES in cooking/event area after load-in
• Parking area available for cooks
• No outside alcohol – adult beverages will be for sale on site.
COOK SCHEDULE for Saturday
7am-8am – load in
8am-8:15am – cooks meeting at 111 W Main (Chamber of Commerce)
9am-12 pm – Homestyle with noon judging
10:30am-1:30pm – Chili Verde with 1:30pm judging
12noon-3pm – Traditional Red with 3pm judging
Salsa information will be given at cooks meeting
1pm-3pm - People’s Choice Sampling
COMPETITION ENTRY
You must be an ICS Member to compete. Entry fees are separate per category (i.e. Red, Homestyle, Verde, Salsa) and will be collected independently by the Cook-off Organizer. Please contact the organizer (info at top) for more information.
ALL CONTESTANTS (including youth) must prepare TWO gallons of People’s Choice chili (PC).
YOUTH: Youth cooks are encouraged and welcome! We must have 10 competitors per category, to have a contest within the youth division. You must register with the Main Street El Dorado office 870-862-4747 (promoter) by March 6.
Prizes will be determined by entries.
Entry fees for Youth competitors is $10 per category, per contestant and will follow the same schedule as regular contestants.
